Default Getting a new 347 Motor in my 1967 Mustang!

Hello everybody. I recently bought this 1967 Mustang with a new 289 V8. I own a 1998 Cobra so the car seemed pretty slow to me. I could not wait so I took it to Larry's Performance Shop in Montebello,Ca. After speaking with them, we came to a conclusion that a 347 Motor would be better, faster and of course the price was awesome. So as soon as I pick it up I will post my review on the Motor.

Yeah they do, It's Larry's Performance Shop. The owner's son is named Jim. He's in charge. The number is 323-722-8865, you can tell him David with the '67 Mustang told you about the place, that way he knows you know about my car and price.

My price was $2,800 plus tax and I got an electric distributor and had my headers beadblasted and re-painted, for an extra $200. Once it's done, he sends it to a Dyno tune tech shop to curve the gas and make every adjustment to get the full power out of the engine. I should get it this week.

Wow!, I just got my car back and the 347 is a beast!! The car is freekin' fast. The car does almost a full circle, burning rubber. The best part is when I down shift,( it's automatic) it gets a huge power boost. Car sounds badass and has power to back it up. 347 Stroker is the answer for you power seekers. I have 12 months warranty so I was told car can take the beating. I lost my digital camera, but I'll buy 1 this week and post pictures. It looks like a 289 but the difference is inside. So you can race people, let them think you have a 289 or have them take a look and then race them and smoke'em sick!!

You should take it to a track once it's broke in fully, and let us know what kind of times you get out of it. I've been thinking about a 331 or 347 for my '65 coupe, looking for high 10's low 11's at the track. If the 347 isn't going to be enough to get me there, I might just step up to a 392 Windsor.

Did he give you a copy of the dyno tune to see what the HP and TQ is?
I have a 383 in my 65 fastback. I need to find a shop for dyno tune and have it read for HP and TQ
