Default Should I add a C Stripe for Looks?

Or keep it as is? I was thinking about adding a black c stripe for a racier look.

I think it would look better as it is.

On my '73 I added '72 rally stripes to give it a nicer look. But there's not much to the body lines on '71-'73 cars. With your '68, the body lines are more pronounced and I think better left alone. The lines will seem overexagerrated for that car with a stripe.

Just my opinion.

It depends on the color of the car, IMHO. I've owned 4 67-68's, 3 F/Bs and 1 coupe. One was white, I didn't put stripes on it--the other three were dark blue, medium metallic green, and black. Those three all had white stripes. My latest (the black F/B has a black deluxe S/S interior, but when you looked at the car from more than a few feet away, there was just too much black---nothing to break it up. By putting the white stripes on, I feel it brings the car to life, catches your eye and draws your eyes to the car. Seems to have worked-- (I've done pretty well at shows and cruises), lots of looks and positive feedback from spectators, and more than my share of "peoples choice" awards.
With a light color car and a black interior they'll look good, but if your interior color and stripe arent the same color, I think it might be a little too much. That's just my opinion, the final decision is yours---you're paying the bills, you are the one that has to like it, no-one else!!!!!
Hope that helps.

I have a stripe on my 67 and I like it. It is not correct for a 67 but was used on on the 68 GT.
