Default 1967 Mustang with Fuel Issues

I've got a 1967 Mustang, it's been sitting undriven for abot two years, If I pour gas into the Carb, it runs great, without, it won'tstay running. Pulled the Fuel Pump, seems to feel fine, any ideas what could be keeping the Gas from reaching the engine other then the Fuel Pump?

If the float, needle and seat assembly in the carb is stuck in the closed position, you will also not recieve any fuel to the engine. There is where I would look if you are sure that the pump is actually working. A visual check of the pump is not enough.

Either install a fuel pressure gauge or disconnect the fuel line from the pump and check the pump output while turning the engine over.

The rubber diaphrams in the carb and the pump will go bad after sitting for long periods of time.

I had the same exact problem and fixed it this afternoon. I pulled the fuel tank, and there is an internal filter...the filter ripped, and clogged my gas line up with a tar-like material. cleaned it and the tank out with solvent and put on some new filter paper. hope that helps.
