Default I need assistance for my fastback suspension.

THE SUSPENSion is kind of rough on my 65 fastback. The previous owner told me he installed 620 1 inch drop coil springs as well as KYB shocks and stock style shocks. If I hit a bump its not the same as modern cars. I hear a noises and feels heavy. I wish I can drive another 65 to see if its normal or i need to add more for comfort

Hello. Are you trying to say that your car seems to ride like an old car? As far as 'normal' goes, you shouldn't be hearing clunking noises, but your car will never have the ride quality of a new Mercedes or something. It will shake, rattle and bounce you around a bit no matter what you do. It's part of their charm.

I think you can make these cars handle very well, you just have to spend some money, but the car will not be stock.

the 620s and kyb are a harsh combination.
You can soften the ride considerably with a lighter weight spring since I doubt you need 620s. The prevailing theory that many people subscribe to is to firm the cars up to improve handling. Many times though I think people over tighen them a bit and ride with an unnecessarily harsh ride for the sake of perceived performance. With that said...I run 620s but I also have a much larger engine mounted in the front of my mustang. My ride softened considerably when I ripped out the KYB and put in IAS shocks which ride softer until I start really working them and then they stiffen up for more performance. But I also have done a few other things to make my suspension actually work and not just be stiff. Things like adjustable strut rods with heim joint ends and roller spring perches help make the suspension work and not just be stiff with the poly bushings people put in.

What is the slated use for the car?
What is your driving style/habits?
