Default Some pictures of 1966 Mustang Fastback GT K-code, I've been working on for 11 months

Had some pics taken of my fathers 66 Fastback GT K-code. I just spent the last 11 monthes redoing the engine bay, suspension, and a few other things here and there on it. Some quick (but not all) specs on it:

Never restored
Same owner since Jan of 1967
58k original miles
original body,glass,and chrome
Numbers matching trans. and 9" rearend with factory 3.89 gears
Actual shelby windows and scoops (Purchased form shelby in 1968)
Fiberglass trunk lid with side moldings (Purchased spring of 1968 in
daytona beach, unsure of maker)

hasnt seen rain since 1968

K code engine removed in 1968 for built up 289
Built up 289 then removed in 1970 for 351C
351C removed Jan of 2007 to be replaced by 351W:

351W stroked and bored to 427W Before being put in

AFR225 heads

Weber Carb. Induction setup.

Custom strut and lower chassis braces (All in factory holes, no modification needed)
Custom 3 Inch exhaust with oval pipes exiting on the side.
underneath of car still in factory primer
painted 1 time in 1998.
Interior all original, cept for cd plater and speakers in doors.
seats from 1970 mach 1.
and now some pics. hope ya like

Damn, at first reading your posting, I thought you did what to a "K" code? That is one fine looking car. Congrat's on the job!

Looks good which fuel injection is on it.The shelby windows are well worth the money one less blind spot making it safer to drive.Don't feel bad my step dad cut up a wrecked 69 yenko camaro in 73 for the drivetrain for his 55 chevy 210 the base model of the belair.Back then these cars where worth about the price of scrap metal.

They are Weber Carbs... not fuel injection.... and the shelby windows have been on the car since 1968.

The weber set up and hilborn look pretty close. The shelby windows are the best thing you can do to the 65/66 fastback.
