Default 1966 Mustang dash pad cover install

I recently bought a 1966 Mustand cpe that came with a dash pad cover that was not completely installed. The front part hangs down (is loose) over the gauges and glove box. It seems to be installed from the windshield over the top of the dash correctly and is a tight fit. Including going down the middle space between the gauges and glove box.
I have no installation instructions.
Is adhesive suppose to be used or what?
Thanks

Question

Are you referring to a fabric type dash protector or a semi rigid cover made to cover a cracked or discolored stock dash pad?

Welcome! Very nice Mustang!

Sorry I didn't list this. It is a semi rigid dash pad cover.

Gotcha!

You just use silicone sealer as a glue in critical places after cleaning the surfaces with alcohol.

Put weights along the top until the silicone sets.

Use masking tape to hold the edges in place.

Only install this in warm weather. I'd suggest at least 80 degrees. The cover will shrink with the cold and crack if you try to install it with temps under 80.
