Thanks. Yea, I tried, but he has a built SBC, thats what he wants to run!!
I guess I will have to build the frame mounts to adapt to the solid chevy mounts!!
Any ideas on headers for this?

I seen this done before, They actually run pretty good. I have no idea why someone would want to do it, But then I also seen a camaro with a cleveland in it, so who knows.
The one I seen had a oil pan from a truck or Blazer or something with a front sump maybe it was a boat. I just know they make a front sump for a SB chevy. Camaro headers would most likely come close.
I guess if you have a motor you really love and spent big bucks on, I could understand. It's not any different than all the old Ford hotrods that run 350/350TH with a 9", right? It might be a sin to say out loud, but a 671 blower would look cool sticking outta the hood.
Let's hope the Mustang won't reject the transplant!
As for the transmission, keep in mind the '65/'66 tunnel is quite narrow, and even some 5 speed conversions need a bit of massaging to fit in.......the 3550 I believe?
That said, a 2 speed Powerglide would be killer, if it would even come close to fitting!

I'd send this guy packing with his small block Chevy crammed squarely in a place where the Sun don't shine! Personally I couldn't find a bit of enthusiasm in doing this conversion. I'd charge him to the max on the price of this redicilous venture.
I have a customer who is wanting to install a 350 Chevy into his 1966 Mustang.
Thanks
Michael
Hello. : You have a customer that's an idiot. Whatever price you decide to charge him, make sure that it's enough to cover any and all problems that car might have for the next few years, because everything that goes wrong with the car will be your fault in his mind. Anyone that would come up with the idea of going through the hassle of fitting a 350 chevy motor into the car, instead of a 351 cleveland, which is a stronger motor and will basically drop right in, doesn't exactly have all of their oars in the water to begin with. If you do this job you will be hearing from this guy for quite a while. I would refuse to do it and just tell him it's because of liability issues, instead of because he's retarded.
I have seen a couple of 350's in late 80's mustangs. Had to have custom headers. Cars ran good, but to do such a thing to a classic, just is not right! Other posts are right on, you will never see the end of this guy every time anything goes wrong.
Hey I would put a VTEC Honda engine in his mustang if he paid me to do it!! LOL.
I have never seen it done, and I don't know what he would want to, but his money is green just like everyone elses. The tunnel will be a problem for the trans I think.
He wants to run a TH350. Obviously it will take fabing some mounts and crossmember, and the headers will be a crap shoot!! Hey guys thanks for your help on this issue!!!!!
