Default 1967 deluxe steering wheel

Just dropped $350 on this new repro '67 deluxe steering wheel.
Looks great but..... If I tighten the big nut more than slightly the
steering wheel rubs the column, torqueing it to the 25ft/lb spec
actually binds the wheel from turning. My old stock wheel worked fine.
Another example of repro inferiority or am I missing something?
This is supposed to be a complete bolt on steering wheel, just add
your old center cap. Anyone install one yet?

All that you need to do is loosen the steering column mounting bolts on the floorboard and at the dash. This allows the column to be slid up or down so that your wheel will clear. The column is more or less clamped in place instead of ridgedly mounted. Just make sure to loosen everything enough so that the column will slide easily.
