Default 1966 mustang- headlight/parking light problem

I did a search, didn't exactly find my problem... i turn on the headlight switch and I have the gauge lights and taillights come on.. the head light plugs dont have power, the same with the parking light harness plugs... could the switch do this? any ideas would be appreciated...

probably not the switch if the taillights work. must be somthing in between the switch and the headlamps. i bet someone on the site has a link for a wiring diagram.....

Well, here's how that goes. Your headlights get power from a Red-Yellow wire coming from the switch to the HI/LO foot switch then out to the Headlamps. The parking lights get power from the
Black-Yellow wire coming out of the switch and straight to the left parking/signal light, and then the right. I'd make sure you have power on the Red-Yellow at the HI/LO switch first, if you don't then you probably have a bad switch. If you do have power there then I'd check it at the firewall. The headlight power goes through the firewall on the Green-Blk, and Red-Blk wire for HI and Lo.

thanks for the help..after I found the hi/low switch was working I looked at the neg side of things... . it ended up being the ground by the voltage regulator.. I put a test light to it and it seemed fine, I took the screw out and re-installed and the headlights are working perfectly now...
