Default 74 bronco 9" rear end seems that it will fit WILL IT?

i have the chance to get a rear end for my mustang out of a 1974 bronco i have a 1966 coupe that i need to upgrade to 5 lug.
"used ford 9 inch rear diff, 3.50 gears, open diff, 28 spline. works great no problems, came out of a 74 bronco"
is the add, I want to pick it up but am not sure if it is compatable.

It would have to be a big bearing rear end for 74... as long as your yoke lines up right and is the right size, and if it has the gears you want, and the suspension mounting points line up then yes, it will.

Default 9 inch Bronco rear end

Hi, I remember reading some place that it will. The Spring perches are in the place. But I can not recall how wide it is. It maybe a good fit for the 67 to 70 Mustangs. Tell you what I will measure our 76 Bronco. And I will get back to you. Note a 9in. rear end out of 1959 Ford will bolt right in to a 65-66 Mustang.Right size drum to drum. You will need the right size U bolts and shock mounts to match.

It will be too wide and will need to be shortened for use a 66 mustang.

IF you are planning on running after market wheels and want to run a more modern offset you might be able to use it as is, but if you want to run classic style or stock style wheels on the car it will need to be shortened.

Check the bolt pattern on the Bronco rear. I heard or read they were on a 5 inch circle instead of 4 1/2. Also Mean Green the 57-59 Ford big car will fit they just don't have the tapered axle tubes.
