Default 1966 Mustang... Engine cuts out

can anybody help me out. i have a 289 66 coupe, and every time i try to turn burn tire and press on the pedal hard my car just turns off it, sound like it drowns and then just shut off. can anyone help

That may be exactly what is doing. What kind of carb are you using on it.

auto or manual?
if u got a auto try not slaming on the gas to fast maybe you are flooding it

yea its a auto n its a 2 barrel im going to put a 4 barrel i already bought the intake manifold for the 4 barrel

put it in low and holdthe brake down and give it gas

I had a similar problem with a 1965 Rambler I had and it turned out to be a bad vacuum advance. It was attached to the side of the distributor. Not sure if that narrows it down enough for you.

put ur transmition in low.
i know i got a problem if im sitin at idle and i slam on the gas it cuts off
