1967 Mustang Automatic to Manual Transmission Swap. Information and Help Please

I am currently restoring a 1967 Mustang Convertible, 289. I was wondering if anyone has done this before, and if so, if they could give any helpful tips or potential problems I might come across. Thanks.

There should be a lot of resources online for this type of swap...Mustangs are abundant and the aftermarket offers plenty of options:

Must make sure the transmission you get will match up with the 289 and driveshaft you have.
