Default Air Flow Research vs. Edelbrock

Sorry to bring this topic back up guys, but I couldn't hardly get anyone to reply to the last one and the guys who did reply, I thank you much, but I didn't get very specific help. But when it comes down to it, here's the plan. I'm putting a 427 stroker kit on a 351W and the guy at the place said I would be better off with Air Flow Research heads rather than Edelbrock because he said Edelbrock's valves aren't very good. I've never used AFR and the Edelbrock's I've used have never been on an application so heavy. So I need to know what your guys experience and suggestions would be. I'm just now sure on whether to believe the guy at the place because they specialize in AFR heads, so it's kinda debateable on if he's telling the truth or just blowing smoke up my ass.

That is OK Acooljt, if we didn't answer your question last time we can try again. I am only running a 331 stroker, however, I know that either head would be a good choice. I am not running either head right now, but both are good strong heads. I have never heard that the Edelbrock valves are not very good, let me check with my brother-in-law, he is a very good engine builder.

Well, the guy pretty much said that the Edelbrock valves weren't good for my application since I was running so much horsepower and such a big crank on such a small block(well, small compared to a REAL 427 block). He didn't really say they were bad altogether. But thanks for checking on that for me, I await your answer.

i'd go with AFR heads. they'll outflow the edelbrock heads and the company will upgrade the valve train to match your cam requirements. i got them on my 289 in a '66 stang and my buddy is running them in a factory 5 cobra with '90 5.0. both motors are very strong! they have a head with large ports specifically for stroker applications.
