detailt for question about valve cover gromets. 66 mustang This is very difficult for me to explain. Okay I looked at my pcv valve that is currently installed on my 1966 mustang; the Grommet has a hole in it which I suppose is needed by the PVC valve for its ventilation purpose. I also looked at my oil cap and the grommet also has a hole in it for whatever reason it is needed. It also has a hose from the oil cap that goes to the housing of the air filter. The dressing kit I bought has none of this.. It came with two grommets that would completely cover the holes on the valve covers. So this would mean that I would lose that hose from the oil cap to the filter housing which would be all chrome and the pcv valve would be blocked. The grommets fits perfectly on the valve covers. Am I supposed to cut the holes into the grommets? I do not see the purpose of the breather cap if it is completely blocked by the grommet. The new valve cover has no place for the hose that when from the oil cap to the air filter nor does the new breather cap. |
