Default steering column

hey i need some help withe the steering column on my 66. i just installed a grant steering wheel which looks great but there is about an inch or so gap between it and the column. is there a way to adjust it to narrow the gap?

Did you purchase a mounting kit? The kit will include a metal cover to cover this space.

try loosening the bolts at the bottom of the steering colum where it meets the dash and pull the collum up towards the wheel...
