Hi, im 16 and i love mustangs. Only have around 6k to work with. I would like to get one(67-68) that wont leave me on the side of the road. How can I insure myself that that wont happen. Including parts, what to look out for, and anything else. Thanks a lot.

If this is your first car, and your only means of transportation, I would look at a Fox body Mustang instead of a 1st or 2nd gen.

Much more reliable transportation then a 40 year old car. If you insist on a coupe, then look at a 65-66 6 banger. You should be able to pick up something decent in that category for $6K.
