Default Exhaust question

I've got a '68 coupe with 289/auto. I'm still debating on whether or not to rebuild the 289 or go with a 351 Windsor, but I had a question about exhaust. I'm going with longtube headers for torque, but I want the exhaust to have a distinctive tone to it. Not loud and thrashy. Y'all may think I'm petty for posting this, but I want it to sound like Nash Bridges' 'Cuda.

Welcome to the site!!!! I would suggest a 2.5 inch system with a H,and some Magnaflows.Finish it with some 3.5 inch tips.

I've got long tube headers on my 67 289, went with the magnaflow because I was told the flow masters were too loud. Well, at idle and cruising you'll be good but when you open it up look out!!! Sounds like a harley but I love it. If you want something quieter go with the dynamax. I personally would go with 2 1/4" pipes and then whatever tail pipes you prefer

Here's a link to the sound I'd like to get with the Mustang.

It starts about 5 minutes into the video.
I'm thinking glasspacks are the closest to that sound. Am I right?
