Default 1966 6cylinder to v8 suspension swap , questions?

Hey all, newbie here.. Just got my 1966 coupe after 20 years of absence. Car code shows org. 6cyl. but has 289 now, 1988 GT 8.8 rear end and T-5 trans. Still has 4 lugs all around. Previous owner didn't make all th upgrades. I'm looking at new susp. upgrades and disc conversion to get to v8. Can you please advise about other concerns I may not be aware of? Any advise from your experience appriciated. Thanks

Everyone, including myself, reccomends swapping to V8 spindles. '68 spindles are some of the stronger spindles, though. As for brakes, Stainless Steel Brakes makes a decent kit. 4 piston calipers on 11.25" rotors with power brakes, yeah it'll stop. Traction bars are always a good idea, as are sway bars and 500 lb-in springs in the front. To get to 5 lugs in the rear, I hear you're supposed to use either lefthand or righthand axles from a Ranger. One of the axles fits perfectly.

Suspended by 600# 1" drop front and stock rear springs, KYB shocks, 1" front and 7/8" rear sway bars, and Traction Master style traction bars. Your friendly suspension kid.

Yeah get the 68 spindles and hubs.I have no clue how to make a fox 8.8 to a 5 lug ask on the 5.0 part of here.Brakes id go with cobrabrakes need 17s to clear then and the rear brackets you just need the oem ones off a 98 up cobra.
