I am trying to determine when my mustang was manufactured. The date on the data plate on the door is 22 Q. I know that this means it was manufactured on the 22nd of March, and the Q means that it is a second year date. But what does that mean? Does that mean it was manufactured in March of 65 or March of 66?

yes. it is 5F07C672620. I know thaat it is a 65, dearborn, c-code hardtop coupe. The DSO is Houston, it had standard blue interior with blue trim, it was caspian blue exterior with a 289 2v, and a C4 transmission. My question is that when it says that it was manufactured 22Q, it is the 22nd day of the month Q (March, 2nd year) -- what year was it?,

22Q - March 22, 1965 is the scheduled build date for your car. If it said 22C, it would have been March 22, 1964 and would be considered a 64 1/2.
