yeah, it's about time to take the 15/16th off the crank, it just hasn't gotten in the way yet. My plan was to be driving to work by now- I get to park in a garage, and I can't wait to hear the rumble of that dual exhaust indoors.
It seems that everything turns into it's own project- I'm sure many of you know the feeling. Some of the slowness is probably me too.
The latest saga was trying to replace the choke cap on the exhaust manifold. I had to remove the manifold (which I had been avoiding). While I was at it, why not remove the other side, and while they're off, I sandblasted them, and then why not go ahead and coat them with manifold paint. I goes on and on...
These cars are simple, but there sure are lots of little things when you have to replace EVERYTHING in your engine compartment.
My immediate goal is to have all the electrical circuits complete- so that soon I can turn the key, and something will happen.
Once I'm there then I was going tio concentrate on getting her to 'fire up.'
After that then getting her driving- hood, shocks, brakes... then we've got transportation, instead of a hunk of blue metal in the basement. That point is very important for future funding of this car.
All in all I loving doing this stuff- most of it needed doing before the fire, but I was hoping I could do it piece by piece and continue to drive the car.
Thanks for all the encouragement. I hope to have some YouTube videos when there is something worth watching going on.
