351 Windsor Crate Motor problem I retired an older 351 Windsor and bought a new YearOne 351 Windsor crate motor. It is in a 1969 Mustang fastback. I bolted on the new water pump and the old pulley and when I tried to bolt on the old crank pulley, the two pulleys are rubbing together. I can't figure out how that could have happened?!
Anyways, can I get a smaller diameter water pump pulley or crank pulley to solve the problem? How will this affect the speed of the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, etc.?
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I can't figure out how the distance from the centerline of the water pump to the center of the crank could have changed? I'm using both of the original pulleys. |
