Default Coil

I attached a wiring diagram, I would do a resist check from the + wire (#16) at the coil to the back of the ignition switch wire (#297). If you have a open (or no contniuty) you'll have to narrow it down to either wire #16, #16a, or #297. From what I've read on this site wire #16a Pink, has a resistor in it, that could have gone bad. Or you could just apply 12 volts directly to the coil and see if your car will continue to run.

Have you checked your battery and when the cars running is your carging system putting out about 13.5 - 14 volts?

Good Luck

When it was running were you able to check your charging system voltage?

It should be around 13.5 to 14 volts. If you have this voltage, you may need to look in another direction. Maybe a fuel problem, when it starts does the idle race and than the engine dies. If it does, then it's a vacum leak.
Good luck let us know
