Default 65 mustang V6 to V8

Im looking a purchasing a 65 mustang coupe for only 2800. Car is nice but it is a V6. Im wondering what it would take and if its even reasonable to change it to a V8. Any advice would be good for me.

Hi There,

It is probably a straight six rather than a V, there is a cool looking I6 (straight or inline six cylinder) just down the road from me, seems to drive and look fine.

If you are not so hung up on a v8 then a six banger would still be pretty cool if it were in good condition and the price was right.

Read this Six Cylinder Upgrade V8 - Mustang & Fords Magazine its about 3 grand to swap to the v8 stuff its cheaper to buy a v8 car from the start if you want a v8 car.
