I am ordering some different things for my engine but have come upon a dilema...Brass or Chrome? For Example: Heater Hose Fitting that goes on the intake manifold. There is a brass one for $16.95 or a chrome one for $21.95...What is the difference other than the color? What would be the better choice? Is it just a"for looks" thing?

The crome takes longer to make. Also more people want the "chrome look". Thats also another reason why it's higher in price.
Brass takes less time to make and wont rust. I'd go with the brass if you dont care about the crome look.

Brass is what the original one would be too, although it would have been covered with blue paint when the motor was painted at the factory. It also wouldn't show dirt as much as the chrome would if left natural but the brass will tarnish some.
