Default Can someone identify this?

On the top of my stock 289 / 2v intake manifold there is a flat spot with three bolt holes. This spot is on the rear closest to the firewall, and it is shaped like a shield or a badge-like shape. I didnt take anything off of it when I removed the manifold, I was wondering what goes here??? If my explanation isn't specific enough, I could go take a picture and post it...Thanks!

I know! that was where the stock throttle bracket was hooked up on my 66 bronco. I think it is just a mounting point for the linkage. Thats now mine cam from the factory....
