Default 1965 mustang Radio problem

I'm having a problem with the radio in my 65 convertible. The radio operates fine when the car is off and when it's idling. The fuse blows (at the fuse panel) once I pull out of my driveway (most times) or by the time I reach the end of my street (some of the time). I've pulled the instrument cluster off so I could thoroughly trace the wires and look for shorts. I didn't find any problems. The radio has a small fuse box that the power and ground wire come from. There are two small fuses in this box.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks.

The additional small fuse box is kind of throwing me here--I'm guessing it's not a stock '65 radio?

This is a shot in the dark here, but it sounds like you've got a broken or bare wire somewhere. While the car is sitting still, nothing is moving, and therefore the fuse doesn't blow. When the car is being driven, the wiring is flexing, and this bare wire is probably touching metal somewhere, thus making the fuse blow.

Bottom line--if it only does it while driving, then something somewhere is moving and tripping the fuse.
