Default new and need help for 1968 mustang resto

Hi,
my name is George and I am from Germany. I do have a 68 Mustang project going on. The car sits in Los Angeles. I did make some bad experience with the guys that are currently working on the car and want to transfer it to another bodyshop. Can someone recommend a good body shop that is able to do a good technical restoration in the area of Los Angeles?? The engine (351 W) needs a complete rebuild plus brake und suspension update. Just all the technical stuff. Hope that someone could give me a good adress!

cu

George

You might want to post again and also in the Classic Talk section, put in your title
"suggest restoration shop in Los Angeles"
your title doesn't show this is what you're looking for.

Instead of having the engine rebuilt and having to find a shop and machinist that is reputable, why don't you have a preassembled crate engine installed. Ford Racing Performance Parts has complete brand new engines available sitting on a crate. The price for these engines is quite reasonable. You may come out ahead with an engine that is factory fresh.

You can purchase a long block and place your original intake manifold and exhaust plus the accessories to the new engine without any problem. You'll be able to keep the original look and have a brand new engine.

Ford Racing has several dealers in the Los Angeles area. Their full catalog and list of dealers is here: www.fordracingparts.com

I would also suggest contacting the Mustang Club of America's Los Angeles Chapter for assistance in the body and restoration work.
