Default 1966 mustang coupe problems

I have had my 1966 mustang coupe and when i press the gas in park it dies and when i put it in drive it dies without even touching the gas. it idles just fine though so i have no idea what to do and my mom wants to sell it but it was my first car so any help will be greatly appreciated.

the fuel pump is new, the carbaratror has ben rebuilt twice, the gas tank has been cleaned, the plugs and wires have been changed, as well as the enitre distributer.

Thank you

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check vacuum connections at the PCV, distributor, transmission, brake booster "if it has one", and any extra smog equipment if it has any.

if you've replaced your distributor, the first place I'd look is to check your timing. Hope that helps.
