Default 1964.5 Mustang Brake Light Switch Help

The first problem I've begun to tackle on my newly purchased 64.5 is the brake lights not working. After some research, I noticed that the original master cylinder has been replaced with a brake booster. The kit that was installed does not incorporate the 64.5 brake light switch that is on the factory master cylinder.

I'm wondering if someone could shed some light on what the best course of action to correct this is. I've actually been looking at a dual master cylinder but haven't found a decent kit out there. Obviously I'd like to convert to 4 wheel power discs but money isn't available for that right now.

Has anyone had a similar problem or a good fix for this?

Thanks for all help.

Hello. The simplest way to proceed on that would be to fabricate a couple of jumper wires to go from the brake light switch wires by the master cylinder, back through the firewall, and use the same brake light switch as a 65 that's mounted on the pedal where the master cylinder push rod attaches.

Totally agree. It's an easy fix. And always check because I am on my third brake light switch. They just don't make them like they did 40+ years ago. Had to replace one after only a year.
