Question Real stats for 200ci?

Hoping to soon begin the build on my '65; can anyone give me the numbers on a mild 200ci, C-4 with manual everything and no A.C.? All sources I've checked say 120hp; but then say that is incorrect! What about hp and torque at the wheels? What about MPG? Thanks in advance!!

Here's an interesting article I found a while back. You might also ask this same question at the fordsix.com forum. This forum is devoted to the Ford I-6 (144 to 250) and is populated by a lot of folks that really know this engine and don't mind sharing that knowledge. Ford Six Performance: The Web's Leading Resource for Ford Inline Six-Cylinder Engines and Cars!

Hope this helps

Default Thanks

Thanks for the link to a great article! If anyone else is following this, the 120hp 200ci was dyno'ed in '67, and delivered 65hp to the rear wheels! Nowhere to go but up!!!

Wow, only 65hp? My girlfriend has a 68 six cylinder and it can dominate her 2000 Focus. Now I wonder what little power that little aluminum can is really making.
