Default 1967 289 mustang W/302 heads rocker arms making a chattering noise

I have a 1967 mustang 289. I recently got some 1994 302 heads. I had the heads shaved and redone at machine shop. my motor sounded fine, wasn't noisy at all before I put the 302 heads on my 289. Now with the 302 heads my rocker arms are making a chattering noise. Most people that hear it run ask me if I have a solid lift cam, but I don't. the rocker arm set up for the 302 is different than the 289. You just tork them down between 18-28 pounds. My question is how do you stop the chatter??? Could I need different length push rods?

That would be my guess. Check your pushrods. I bet when the valves are close you can easily spin the pushrods or even have them move slightly up and down. Someone will have more info for you but I am pretty sure the later model 5.0s have a different pushrod length.
