Default 302 dimensions (quick help please !)

I need to find out if I can get a long block (on a storage stand) into the back of my truck with a canopy on it.

Anyone got a small block (289 or 302) on an engine stand ?

Could you tell me the distance from the motor mount surface
(where the mount blots to the block) to the top of the rocker cover ?

Not sure if I want to have the engine sitting on the crank for the ride from the shop to my house .....
