Default 68 lighting cluster

When I go and turn knob on light switch to brighten the cluster lites the fuse blows
Does that mean I have to get a new light switch ?

and are there directions on here to where to start ?

Hmm sounds like the wrong bulbs are in the sockets and drawing too much current.

Are you asking how to remove the instrument cluster ?

Default cluster lights

Well the bulbs are the same ones that have been in there since I got the car 3 yrs ago no problem till this year

I have the cluster out but using a blowen fuse with light bulb
socket soldered on it and testing it that way

I figure it could be the switch now just don't know how
to remove it

To get the headlight switch out you need to disconnect the battery..pull the switch knob/shaft all the way out...
Then in this order:
Then reach up on the side of the switch and while you depress the button....you pull the shaft the rest of the way out.

Then you will see a slotted bezel style threaded nut .......remove that and the headlight switch comes out the back
