Default 18x9" wheels for 69 Mustang, what spacing I need?

I have a 1969 Mustang, and I want to put a set of 18" wheels Boyd Coddington, what spacing I need ? I have no idea how to buy them I heard about spacing. i would like to put 18x9 in the rear or 18x8 and in the front 18x7 wheels; what is your recommendation on wheels and tires? what I mean spacing is offset ( does it makes sense)

I want just cruise, from home to work and that's it a daily driver that looks good.

Thanks,Naz

If you want to measure backspacing, take a tape measure and go in from the hub where the wheel bolts up. If you have drum brakes, go from the outside edge of the drum to the inside edge of the frame rail or fender well. Take your measurement, then subtract an inch. Same goes the other way, take a piece of twine and tie a nut to the end so it hangs straight. Tape it to the outside edge of the fender well, now measure to the outside edge of the drum at the hub then subtract an inch. That should give you your backspacing, and total width of the wheel you can use, Mike. SCT Tuner.
