Default ready for disc brake swap

ok i am about ready to start the disc brake swap on my 1965 coupe, but i have a question about donor cars. i have found a few 1970 thru 1973 mustangs and a few mavericks with disc brakes and was wondering if any would make a good donor for the swap? i know i will need spindles and all i just don't want to buy any that won't work.and also i would like to change to power brakes and was wondering what all i would need to do it. my mustang has a 289 with a 3 speed trans(which will be changed later to a 4 speed or t5,if i can find one at a good price).i will put some before and now pistures on as soon as i figure out how to do it.
thanks to all
Dean

I would say heck with the donor car stuff and get the thing new from diskbrakeswap.com. They have the grenada brake systems for about 525 dollars for the 65 and 66.

The 70-73 mustang has a tiny bit better disc and thicker spindles then the granada has.The mavericks are based off the 67/68 mustang.Changing the spindle is not that hard but i would rebuild the hubs new rotors and rebuild the calipers. And the tie rod ends you use have to match the spindles not the car.If you don't mind a 17 inch rim cobrabrakes has some great brackets to use cobra brakes or the newer gt mustang brakes. And ssbrakes.com remakes the old 4 piston stock brakes your car could have had new.
