does anybody know if quarter panel ornaments for 1966 and 1965 are interchangeable on mustangs.

interchangeable how? be a little more specific what are you looking to do

If you are talking about the stylized "vents" on the rear quarters then the those on the 66 had fingers that extend towards the front of the car and these fingers have pegs which fit into holes drilled into the quarter. So if these are what you are talking about then 66 trim would fit on a 65 but you would need to drill the extra holes. If you go the other way then you will need to fill in the holes. I would just leave off these trim pieces as they did with GTs.

i want to take off my 1965 quarter panel ornaments and replace them with 1966 ornaments will they interchage are the holes to line up the same .thanks.

Don't know about the back edge of the trim piece, but as I said above, the fingers on the 66 piece have pins for which you would need to drill new holes in a 65
