Default Help! 1971 Ford Mustang won't start up.

A couple of months ago my FMX transmission pretty much blew up on the freeway. So I saved up the money bought a new FMX had it rebuilt and a shift kit put into it and installed it, but the car doesnt start. It started a couple of times after but suddenly one day it didnt start, battery is new, alternator is new, starter is new, and we recently just bought a new Ignition switch. This is quite baffling, and my only thought is that maybe one of a few of the wires may have gotten hot causing them to short the connections?
Please help.
Sincerely,
Isaiah

Did you check power to coil with a volt meter. What made you try ignition switch. Are you getting spark to the plugs?

Yes we did check the power to the coil, and it was very weak. We figured it was the ignition switch because it showed signs of weakness. And yes we are getting spark to the plugs.
Thank you.
