keep checking around, most tire places have a special tool for removing old locks.

Yep, it looks like a regular socket but has a spiral on the inside. My 68 had Cragars on it when I bought it with a keyed lug nut but I couldn't find the special key for it anywhere in the car and the PO didn't know where it was. I took the car to the local tire place and he used the special socket and took each of the locks from the wheels.

All else fails tighten the crap out of the other lugs and using a sharp cold chisel and a good ball peen hammer get on the top edge of the lock and cut into the lock so the chisel wont junp and then drive it in a counter clockwise pitch - trust me it'll give - doen it many times no problem.

what you can do is to take an old 13/16 socket or 3/4 whichever fits the best on your lugs and a hammer and drive the socket on over the lock, it will go on long enough and hold well enough to get the lug loose. obviously this is likely to destroy either the socket or the lugs or both, but it will work... ask me how I know.
