Default 1965 timing pointer 289

can anyone tell me where the timing pointer is on a 1965 289 2bbl front timing cover. im having the worst time trying to put it in time. i have been close i think. i can get it running but cant get it to stableize. new car and dist. and tune up. i have been guessing and checking can anyone tell me for sure

Hello. It's on the driver's side, near the fuel pump. It's a round protuberance that has an end like a flat-bladed screwdriver.
