Default 1966 Mustang Coupe with starting issues

Hey everyone,
I love my coupe. It's not perfect but it's mine. Originally a 6 it now has a 302 in it, so as time goes on in this transformation to an 8, I will likely be asking for more help. For now though, I'm trying to start it after a winter tucked in the garage. I replaced the back-up/neutral light switch. I've got voltage at the coil, gas in the carb, the engine turns with the starter but I get no spark at the plug. I'm thinking my next move should be to install a new distributor. Are there any other suggestions before I do that?

Hey back again. If you're still there. It ran fine last fall before I put it away for the winter, but lesson learned, try starting before replacing anything and then again after it's done. It's pertronix electronic ignition.

Did you fail to reconnect the distributor ground wire to the base plate when you installed the Pertronix?
