Default AC in a 67 fastback

Hey all, I was wondering is it possible to add ac to a 67 fastback that doesnt have it stock, and what is required, inside and out, if i can add it. The engine is a 428 cj if that makes a difference.

The kit would come with it all. But for a 428cj u may need to make some changes if u have power steering I believe .But most kits will come with Compressor, condenser, hoses & fittings, Ac venting ,brackets ,grommets o rings dryer if it comes with one, over flow hoses etc. All you would have to do after installing is to take it to an AC place and get it filled

The Scott drake kit I have for sale includes heater tubing for defroster vents and to make the heat come out of the AC vents instead of the heater box.

http://www.scottdrake.net/prodgrp_list.aspx?old_subcat_id=0&subcat_id=97&bre adcrumb=Heating+%26+AC+%3a%3a+Air+Conditioning

that’s a parts list and a kit list. But all the parts on there come with most kit.

I plan to use the CAA system link postd by AlphaMale, I found some '67 side vents and center vents and plan to use them and hang them under the corners of my non A/C Coupe just below where they would be stock. That's one thing I didn't like in the CAA kit, the vents look plastic cheesey to me but I'd hate to see the price if it had original repops in the kit...
I've read good things about their kit.

Default not a piece of cake

Hi~ dne' here.
I'm installing the Classic Ac in my '67 coupe/289. Mine was a factory equipped stang with dash/vent registers. I'll be honest, it's not just a piece of cake install! You get several boxes and parts will be all over the place! lol I've installed my evaporator case a while back, and that wasn't too bad. I've mounted my compressor on my motor while on the engine stand which made that part easier/more tolerable. You have spacers/ brakets, etc.. I put the photo to show where more than likely the hoses will come out of the firewall. With you having a 428~yikes, it will be tight working in the left apron area. If you are truly interested in the classic air, it's supposed to be the best. If I can be of further help, I can take more photos and email them to you. But you best call Classic air and speak to someone about your specific wants.
