Default 1965 Mustang suspension and steering question

My 65 mustang has power steering and was originally a I6 but has been converted to a 289. I bought a v8 front suspension rebuild kit and all the pieces fit fine so i dont think any corners were cut when the original owner was swapping the motors out. The only problem i have is when i turn, i cant turn all the way because the drag link arm which is connected to the power steering components hits my starter. This makes it extremely hard to make u-turns and turn in general. Im wondering if my idler arm, drag link, or some other component wasnt changed when the engine was swapped. How can i fix this problem? Will i have to get a whole new power steering assembly and draglink assembly? Thanks

oh okay i see that there different but i heard that you cant even fit a v8 into a v6 car without changing everything including the drag link and power steering linkage. im wondering if its just one part that was over looked such as an idler arm. i just wanna be sure cause im only 17 and i dont have much money to spend on brand new parts

You can leave the inline 6 steering but if you put a v8 in the car you need a 8 inch rear end and in the front you need v8 spindles brakes and the v8 springs. The cheapest way to get the 5 lug in the front is Welcome to CSRP he has kits that will let you keep your inline 6 steering.
