1965 Mustang suspension and steering question My 65 mustang has power steering and was originally a I6 but has been converted to a 289. I bought a v8 front suspension rebuild kit and all the pieces fit fine so i dont think any corners were cut when the original owner was swapping the motors out. The only problem i have is when i turn, i cant turn all the way because the drag link arm which is connected to the power steering components hits my starter. This makes it extremely hard to make u-turns and turn in general. Im wondering if my idler arm, drag link, or some other component wasnt changed when the engine was swapped. How can i fix this problem? Will i have to get a whole new power steering assembly and draglink assembly? Thanks |
