Default 1967 mustang wiring issues please help

I have 1967 restored fastback first start up it ran about 10sec, as soon as i released the ignition swtich it died. several times same result. got a new ignition switch same thing. iam am using a mallory coil mallory ignition and a mallory distributor. I have checked the wiring several times,and it is wired right any thoughts thanks Nick

Make sure the coil is getting 12V+ in run position is teh best place to start. What do you really mean when you say it ran until you released the key? as in crank to run then it died?? Sadly it is not impossible to get bad parts out of new unopened packaging but check yourself over again or better yet put a buddy - second set of eyes on the problem.

yes as soon as it fired i released the key and it died will check the voltage thanks
