Default 1967 Mustang C4, Stock torque converter or stall converter

I am in the process of rebuilding my 1967 Mustang. It had a 289, 2 barrel with a C4 Transmission in it. I am putting an Edelbrock Torker/Holly 600 Double Pumper 4 barrel, a Comp Cam 271+ Nostalgia cam, headers and duel exhaust on it. I have just purchased a Performance Automatic Super Streeter C4 transmission for it. The questions is should I go with a stock torque converter or a stall converter on it? If I should go with a stall converter, how much stall should it have. I don't want it to be too radical, and I want it to be very streetable as it is likely to end up being a daily driver. Thanks!

Depending on duration.. (271 advertised ??) that cam would probably work fine with a stock converter. But I would look for something that will stall around 2k... Keep in mind that if you have high gear ratio in you axle you won't be able to take advantage of the converter, it could make it perform worse.

For a good stock replacement but have a good launch on the street - Go for a B&M holeshot 2400 Stall. That would be perfect.

I drive on the highway with mine quite often - 2 hours straight time. Good stall to go with. At times i debate to go with the 3000 holeshot to take advantage of the cam, but i decided to stick with the 2400 as i keep convincing myself that im not planning to go on the track. I have the voodoo lunati cam advertised at 268 in, 276 ex.

Youll like the 2400 stall for street.
