Default 1966 289,2V A/C belt slapping, accessory idler assembly.

Hello gang. Has anyone every used the NPD “Accessory Idler Assembly” and if so can you describe how and where it attaches to the engine? This car has factory A/C and no power steering. Thanks in advance. As always, one great forum, most of my questions are answered with a search, but not this one.

I was hoping someone would have a response to this, myself. I have the same problem and would like to fix it. Mine's not too bad, there is a short span around 1500-1800 rp0m where it vibrates. Then, when you let off the gas, it does it regardless of rpm.

Hello mwillis, I called NPD and talked to a sales rep. There were no install instructions with the Accessory Idler Assembly, he said there were two bolts and the idler pulley and he did not know how it installed. I want to know how it installed before I buy it, so maybe someone will respond with that info. Thanks for your response and hope we get an answer. fjd
