Default electric fan problems

I did a search for my problem but couldn 't find a answer,i wired in a relay for an electric spal fan with a toggle switch and inline fuse and it works fine untill i turn off the key the fan still has power? So the fan will still run. But with the key on and the switch off, it shuts off. Just can"t figure why with the key off theres no power to the switchs but theres power to the fan.

you may have the relay wired up wrong and how do you have a switch wired up if it goes straight to the battery then the switch will have power at all times.

The switch is wired into my fuse box,the fuse for my interior heater, theres no heater. from the switch it goes to a inline fuse to the relay. The red wire from the relay goes to the battery, the yellow wire goes to my temp probe to fan. Black to ground, theres a white wire also that i didn't use.

Okay so what i did was read my post again, and thought maybe if i change where i got my power for the switch, like a constant power fuse that would do just fine. It seems to work okay now shuts off when the switch is turned off and key off. If i did something wrong by doing it that way i hope somebody will reply, thanks.
