i was installing my chrome clips for the rear glass when some of the pins that hold the clips in broke off . now my chrome will not stay pressed down. Is there a way i can get the chrome to stay down by fabricating something to use as a replacement for the pins. i don't think i can buy new ones because they looked like they were part of the body of the car.

You can use #6 sheetmetal screws (Preferrably Stainless Steel). The head size of the screws is very close to the pins. They don't have to be in exactly the same location as where the original pins were located, close is good enough. It's best to drill the holes for the screws on the small side, so that the screws will fit snugly.
