I am having trouble getting off the line. When my 66
stang is warmed up, I dont have trouble with it dying, but I have major problems getting off the line. It is an auto
tranny (C4) but it has been rebuilt and beefed up by a local well-known
tranny shop who built it for power and speed. I have a rebuilt 289 that has been bored out a little bigger and placed a Shelby-similar Cam in it. The engine should not have any problems getting off of the line, yet I am not able to even get a squeak from it off the line. It has no guts off the line. I have an 8inch rear and although I would like a 9 inch those are not easy or cheap to come by. Regardless I should still get something off the line. Any suggestions?
