Default 1965 head removal?

I've got the valve cover off on the head of my 1965 Mustang Inline-6 200.

Do I have to take off the rocker assembly to remove the head? All of the bolts are accessible to be removed. I'd rather not have to remove the assembly if I didn't have to.

I would remove the rocker assembly & push rods first.
I think most people would.
You would struggle putting it back on if you didn't.
