i have a 68 coupe and i want to remove the trim around the door windows they are in good shape i want to re use it how do i takem off is there an easy way with out damage?

Hi, They make a tool for this. Most auto part stores will carry this. Under $10.0 a Big pain! I found a article on this some where. That tells you to leave the bottom one in,and just push the glass out after the others (trim parts) have been removed. There are clibs every so often that hold the molding to the car. The tool you slide under the molding to release the clibs. Have fun! GO SLOW!!!

That's for the windshield trim, he was asking about the drip rail trim. When ever I removed mine I just got it started at one end then worked my way around just using my fingers to pry it off.

I used a round head style bottle opener wrapped in electric tape, just go slow, worked nice.

I'm wondering if he's trying to refer to the chrome (stainless) trim that's actually glued/pressed on the window glass itself?

The top and rear edge of the door glass has trim attached to it, plus the vent windows and rear quater windows.
